Gracias a Dios is based in Santiago Matatlán, the self-declared world capital of mezcal, working with mezcalero Oscar Hernández. The production is traditional — earth oven, wild fermentation, copper stills — while the packaging and brand identity are among the most distinctive in the category.

The core range runs from an approachable Espadín through Cuishe, Tepextate, Tobalá and ensambles, mostly bottled around 45% ABV, which keeps them usable both neat and in drinks.

The label also produces an agave gin distilled from its own espadín mezcal base with botanicals, one of the earliest and best-known examples of that hybrid.

What Gracias a Dios is known for

Traditional Matatlán production paired with modern branding, a broad agave line-up, and a widely stocked agave-based gin.

Where to start in the range

Espadín for everyday pours and cocktails, Cuishe for minerality, Tepextate for its bright and floral intensity, and the agave gin if you want something outside the usual category.
